Webbplats http://www.precont.seThe Physical Layer test department of our client is responsible for testing the Layer 1 network signaling software. They are now looking for a skilled WCDMA and/or LTE Physical Layer Test Engineer to strengthen the team.
As a test engineer you will work in the development phase closely together with the development team to bring the physical layer into operation, running on the mobile phone hardware. For this work you will develop test software that both interact with the physical layer software and with base station simulator test equipment. You will get a broad system and architecture knowledge, skills in working with test equipment in a lab environment and a deep understanding of the low level procedures in a mobile phone and how it communicates with a base station.
The work is very stimulating and the daily work consists of studying internal design documentation, studying WCDMA and LTE procedures, test analysis, creation of test specifications, developing test software and scripts, testing new features together with the development team, analyzing results, fault analysis and troubleshooting of errors.
We believe that you have some or several of the following skills:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience of working with UMTS / WCDMA / HSPA / LTE standards, preferably in the physical layer.
- Minimum Master of Science or similar degree in a relevant Telecom/Engineering field.
- Knowledge in working with test equipment such as base station simulators.
- Programming experience in C and Python.
- Digital signal processing and algorithm simulation.
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English.
You have a structured way of working and are a driving force. You enjoy working both independently and in small teams and good communication skills are necessary. You are analytical and methodical in your way of working. You have interest in technology and testing, are a problem solver, have a strong will to learn and work both theoretically and practically.
