Senior profile Cabinet Design Expert (Consultant)

About the position
We are currently looking for a Senior mechanical design engineer to join our Engineering competence centre and to take on the challenge to plan and design the build-up of our future radio base station platforms. The work will be done in very close cooperation with our system design teams in Kista and our head office in China
 
Qualifications and experience      
To be successful in this role the candidate should have at least 5 years experience in mechanical design of radio base station related concepts and products. i.e cabinets and sub-racks. This means mechanical design experience of products aimed for high volume production, high degree of customization, with modular build-up and that works under challenging environmental conditions.

We believe that this has given the candidate a deep understanding of the complexity of cooling of electronics and the importance of DFA and of a high level of product integration.
For this position we also value experiences of the ‘platform, concept & product portfolio’ discussions that take place during the initial phases of a product lifecycle. Knowledge of ETSI and NEBS mechanical standards for telecom equipment is preferred.

A Bachelor Degree, Masters or higher majoring in mechanical engineering or equivalent background is required.

The candidate should have a high focus on delivering high quality work. The candidate should have a strong feeling and interest for development and to share experiences with others in the team and have a proven capability to pursue creative solutions. Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred. As we are a global company the candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in project groups as well as ability to work independently.
Good communication, documentation and presentation skills.
Well organized and structured.  

Location           
This is a fulltime consultancy position at our R&D office in Kista, Stockholm or Gothenburg, Sweden.
