R&D Manager for Fagersta R&D Center

In this position you will fill the roll as the R&D Engineering Manager for the Secoroc product company located in Fagersta, Sweden.  Secoroc is an industry leader in the drilling consumables to the mining and construction markets.  The mission is to extend our number 1 global position through further market leading innovative technologies.  You will be responsible to lead significant growth in the R&D department and secure a world class R&D Center.  You will locate and develop resources to support the R&D of innovative products, systems and solutions for the drilling consumable business.  The position plays a key role in executing the short and long term product development strategy to insure Secoroc continues to grow in market share and profit in all participating markets.  You will be part of the local management team and will work closely with other site managers, so R&D is an efficient service provider to the business.  This manager is expected to coordinate and communicate between Atlas Secoroc Sweden and other divisions in Sweden.  You will have oversight on developing and managing agreements with Swedish universities and innovative companies. You will have administrative and budget responsibilities and you will report to the Vice President of R&D.

Qualifications
We are looking for a person with experience in engineering management.  Previous experience in developing or leading a world class R&D center is a plus.  Your technical skills are within mechanical, mining, or materials engineering.  A minimum 4 year engineering degree and a minimum of 15 years in engineering product development is required.  Minimum of 20 years work experience is preferred.  You should have a passion in leading people and getting the best out of your team and resources.  You should be driven to succeed, structured, self-going, and good communication skills.  You should have an excellent command of English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You should always be looking for a better way.
