Academic Work seeks an ambitious Power Electronics Design Engineer, for recruitment to Eltek R&D lab in Sollentuna.

Eltek develops and markets energy systems for telecom, renewable energy, electric vehicles and industrial applications. Coming from supporting a traditional telecom power supply business, the company experiences a substantial growth in the business areas of Industrial, Renewable Energy and E-mobility.




Eltek has a global sales, engineering and R&D organization with the headquarters located in Drammen, Norway. The Swedish R&D Department is specialized in power electronics design for telecom and industrial applications. The product range covers 100W to 10kW power supplies for AC/DC, DC/AC and DC/DC conversion. The department is fully integrated into the corporate R&D organisation and has therefore the large companies? resources and a well-equipped power electronics lab located in Sollentuna, north of Stockholm. The department is also responsible for a number of technical platforms used in many different products, and may be used in new products for new applications.

New employees will be offered an extensive introductory program to learn the products, applications, the company and technical details in order to quickly acquire the expertise required for modern power electronics design.




Job description

You will be part of an experienced and professional international team for which the main goal is to design and put new products in production. There is also an obligation to technical support of ongoing production to maintain an overall high first pass yield and field quality. You will be involved in all aspects from design to product maintenance. The work is supported by a dedicated environment, including first class laboratory equipment and CAE tools for simulating, designing and testing electrical circuits.




You will:

? Work in team

? Work with designing and maintaining embedded SW

? Work with HF (High Frequency) SMPS (Switch, Mode, Power, Supply) design, production support and maintenance

? A suitable background would be a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree or similar degree.

? You have an interest for (power) electronics design

? You should appreciate travel as an aspect of the job

As a person, you are creative and ?think outside the box?. You are well structured and have a strategic thought behind everything you do. You have the ability to cooperate well with others, both within team and towards clients. Persistence is another of your strong features and you have a great sense of responsibility.
