Material Support Manager
FOSS is on a journey implementing Lean, and this means a strong focus on processes and standard work. We want processes with focus on the end-customer designed to identify and solve problems proactively.
The current Material Support Manager has accepted new assignments within the company which is why we are looking for a new person for the job.
The Material Support function performs all tasks related to Warehousing, Quality Inspection of incoming goods, Operational Purchasing and Operational Planning.
The Material Support function is a very central part of a quite complex Supply Chain. The department has many both internal and external stakeholders and customers.
Our Supply Chain is characterized by a high number of suppliers, component categories and part numbers as well as various measurement technologies used in our advanced instruments. We do low volume production of products in many configurations, distributed through agents, our own sales and service subsidiaries or directly to the end-customer.
The job
With reference to the Factory Manager in Höganäs, you will be responsible for managing the Material Support function consisting of 15-18 white and blue color employees in total.
Focus will be on both daily operations and process development. The development is done in co-operation with the global functions Global Logistics and Global Sourcing based on company ?Best Practices?.
Economical responsibility: budget responsibility within own department as well as material call-off responsibility of approx. 150 MSEK.
Travelling in this job is very limited. Visits to headquarter or the production site in Hillerød, Denmark can be necessary on a regular basis. Also visits to the productions site in Suzhou, China can be relevant.
Primary tasks
- Define and follow up on KPI?s
- Implementing corrective actions based on the KPI?s
- Implementing continuous improvements ? focus on processes and std work
- Conducting daily coordination meetings within own department
- Coaching the employees
- Prioritizing and follow up on tasks and dead-lines
- Supporting the daily operation in the department
- Participating in various projects
Qualifications
- Min. 5 years of experience with people management from a similar position
- Experience with handling the challenges/conflicts that occurs when performing change management, knowing how to use them constructively
- Strong skills within coaching
- Proven track record within process development in a Supply Chain environment
- 1 or more years of working experience with SAP
- Customer oriented
- Good overall business understanding
- English, spoken and written at a high level
- Experience with low volume production of complex products is an advantage
