Expert / Manager Strategic Sourcing

We would like to reduce continuously the sourcing cost/lead time and part numbers in order to have more efficient internal operation and supplier management, to support competitive product and market position.

Your responsibilities will be
You will work in the Reuse Management Department of Corporate Architecture and System Design Office, which is company level technical management organization, in charge of all kind of components roadmap, introduction, and implementation in R&D and phase our policy.

The main responsibilities are:
1, Help to build product competitiveness by use of proper components sourcing strategy, introduction, substitution and phase out strategy.
2, Set Benchmark for key components including the number of material BOM code, supplier and etc, in order to find more reuse. Set the overall components reuse strategy and BOM number goals for procurement.
3, Develop the cooperation strategy with suppliers, identify the mainstream suppliers.
4, Develop the method for PPL and PSL management based on telecom industry best practice.

Qualification;
1.Long experience of Strategic Sourcing, expert or manager, guided the components selection for such as wireless, networking product design;
2.Familiar with the key communications product components, such as IC (processor, memory, FPGA, etc.), connectors, cables or power supply;
3.Familiar with the major communication products.
4.Familiar with PDM, ERP and other enterprise IT management systems.
5.Familiar with the relationship and communication between purchasing department and product management department and R&D design department, with experience from cooperation with product management and design regarding how to secure a design and suppliers to support solutions with dependable life time (e.g selecting components from the embedded roadmap) and high quality.
6.Understands the mechanisms for how to secure designs with few LTB’s (Last Time Buys - or LTB’s with dependable notice), second source strategies and requirements for spare part management.
7.Familiar with the sourcing process, VPA, GOPA, how to secure reliable suppliers (quality, lead time, price etc), agreements to secure spare part management and service agreements.
8.Familiar with components supplier management, design rules for procurement
9.Familiar with local procurement strategy
10.Experience in R&D cooperation strategy with components supplier.  

Education;
Bachelor or masters or higher majoring in engineering or equivalent background
