This role is a commercial leadership role with focus on operational and strategic business in the region combined with people management. You will be working for a world leading brand with focus on value creating and consulting sales to our customers in the construction industry. As Area Sales Manager you are a key player in the local sales organization, reporting directly to the Sales Director. You will be spending most of your time together with your team of Account Managers in the field and in direct customer relations, where you work continuously with developing your team and the local Key Account customer relations on a high organizational level. This position is based out of the Swedish headquarter but most of the time is spend with the sales organisation and a company car is included. You preferably live on the west coast of Skåne.

Your responsibilities

  • Full P&L responsibility for your sales region.
  • Full operational and strategic responsibility for your sales region including customer strategy, pricing and personnel responsibilities.
  • Leading, motivating and developing a sales team of 6 - 9 Account Managers.
  • Handling recruitment, talent development, performance management and structural changes within your team.
  • Close involvement in a range of commercial topics together with your Account Managers such as developing the business with specific accounts and negotiating contracts .
  • Interaction and negotiations with our Key Account customers in your region.

Your profile

  • 2-5 years of experience from leadership or from consulting coupled with a few years of experience from working in sales, marketing or other relevant areas
  • Preferably university degree in a technical or business related subject
  • Geographical mobility is required for further career development within the organisation
  • Fluent Swedish and English in writing and speaking
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong conceptual understanding, commercial mindset and ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Strong empathy and ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
  • You fit and are attracted to the Hilti culture which is very down-to-earth and with a strong balance between performance drive and people orientation
